Your computer has been blocked from the UMKC network. Your computer may have been automatically or manually blocked for one or more of the following reasons:

Your computer may have been detected as aggressively scanning the network. This could indicate a virus infection on your computer, or it could indicate an attack attempted by someone using your computer. If you suspect your computer is infected, you should contact the UMKC Information Services Call Center at 816-235-2000 for assistance with cleaning your computer.

If you have a Macintosh computer, you likely have the FlashBack virus. Please run Software Update on your Macintosh, to patch and remediate your computer. If you have OS 10.5 or older you should contact the UMKC Information Services Call Center at 816-235-2000 for assistance with cleaning your computer. After you have patched, you should have access after 60 minutes. If you do not have access once patched and after 60 minutes, contact the Call Center at 816-235-2000, as you may still be infected.

Your computer may have been detected sending packets that appear to be attack packets. This includes network traffic typically used to compromise web sites.

If your block notice mentions NuWar or eDonkey, it is likely that your computer has been infected with the StormWorm. Contact the UMKC Information Services Call Center at 816-235-2000 for assistance with cleaning your computer.

Your computer may have attempted to use a restricted on-campus web page from an off campus location. (i.e. your computer was physically off campus, but was used to access protected content.)
Once your computer has stopped sending the suspect traffic for 60 minutes, it will be allowed to continue as normal.
